FOOL'S JOURNEY FIXED MEDIA AND IMPROVISATION
Fool's Journey is an open, improvisation-based work that generates graphic scores based on the mythology of the traditional major arcana of a tarot deck - a set of 22 cards that represent the various lessons and experiences encountered as one journeys through life. At the beginning of each performance, five cards are drawn, generating graphic score cards and fixed media that the performers interpret and perform alongside sequentially. These cards are drawn at random, creating a unique (1 in 3,160,080) "reading" for each performance.
Performance: Anxiety Voice, live electronics, and video
Performance: Anxiety is an exploration of the composer’s experiences with social anxiety. Centering around poetry written by the composer, sounds shift between the internal and external, growing in deviation and distortion as anxiety takes a hold.

This is What Matters functions as a tongue-in-cheek look into the mind of a student composer in the midst of working towards their degree.
52FACTORIAL LIVE ELECTRONICS AND IMPROVISATION
52Factorial is an open ended, improvisation-based system in which cards are drawn, enabling certain devices inside of a Max patch that generate various signals as well as affecting input through a microphone. Each suit performs tasks, and each card value inside of each suit performs a varied version of each task. In addition to these Max effects, each card contains four visual aspects (the code, the value, the sign, and the season) that assist in guiding the performer's improvisation.
